Miguel Traquina has been a student at the Haute École de Musique de Genève in Switzerland since September 2021 and has completed his Bachelor’s Degree in June 2024. In 2026 he has also completed his Master’s Degree in Soloist Specialised Musical Interpretation in the same institution.
Throughout his musical career, he has earned numerous awards, including First Prize in the Composition Competition XXI Century of Viana do Castelo (2020), and First Prize in the Swiss Percussion Competition (2023). He also won Third Prize in TROMP Eindhoven (2024), Third Prize in IPEA Shanghai (2025) and, more recently, the First Prize in Prémio Jovens Músicos, Portugal (2026).
